July 12th Annual Water Chestnut Harvest


Saturday Morning - JULY 12th, 8:30am to 11:00am on Second Creek.  6th Annual Water Chestnut Harvest.
  • Meet at Sodus Bay Yacht Club at 8:30. FREE COFFEE, JUICE AND DONUTS
  • Water Chestnut Harvest from Second Creek 9:00 until 11:00
  • Bring your small boat, skiff, canoe, kayak …(room in other boats will be available for those need it)
  • Spread the word and bring your friends, enemies, relatives, neighbors, new folks down the block…. It’s a great way to get the community involved in helping to save our great Sodus Bay!

July Children's Summer Workshops at Alasa Academy

Alasa Academy Summer Programs

Alasa Academy's 4th Annual Summer Children's Workshop:  Three, one week sessions will be held on the historic Alasa Farm in Alton, New York. Conducted by caring professionals, each workshop will provide a positive learning experience your child will long remember. Nature, animal care, science, math, journaling, and personal wellness topics are carefully integrated with interpersonal and relationship building skills in a safe, interactive, environment.

2008 Summer Workshops:  1st week: July 7-11 (for ages 7-10) ~ 2nd week: July 14-18 (for ages 10-17) ~ 3rd week:  July 28-Aug 1 (ages 7-17).

Friday, July 27th Neighborhood Association of Sodus Point 9th Annual Dinner Dance at the Sodus Bay Heights Country Club. This year’s theme is “Bay of the Silvery Waters”. The money raised at this event each year has helped to fund a variety of projects, such children’s playground, winterfest, downtown revitalization grant & triathlon. Funds raised for 2007 include a Village clock & an information board to announce upcoming Community events. We appreciate your support of our fundraisers!
